Banyan Tree Mayakoba works with the Turtle Camp in Mayakoba, which has a registered permit to protect endangered turtles that include the Loggerhead turtle , the Leatherback , the Hawksbill and the Green sea turtle.
The eggs are placed in a safe environment by the conservationists at the resort, ensuring they are protected from predators untill they are ready to be released back to the ocean.
